THE ANUNCIATION

The courtyard in which Mary receives her angelic visitor is so simple and homely. The lily proffered by Gabriel and the snow capped mountain beyond point to processes to be undergone, heights to be scaled. But it is a journey without a single step. For the young girl waits, eternally serene in the chamber of the human heart.
